Junior Kindergarten Admissions

JK'sIn determining the best place for your child to be, especially when it may be their first learning environment outside of the home, we understand that parents require as much information as possible prior to making their decision.  We appreciate that choosing a school or preschool is a commitment, and we would like to be as supportive as possible in sharing the appropriate information with you so that you can make the best decision for your child.

The first step is to come in to Urban Academy for a school tour to see some of the children and teachers at work.  From walking through the school, you will get a good understanding of whether Urban Academy is a good fit for your child and family.  Seeing as many parents would be considering keeping their children at the same school for the years to come, our admissions process will also give you an overview of what the Kindergarten and older programs would be like at UA.

The next step is a meeting with your family, child and our Head of School.  At this meeting, we can meet your child, learn more about your educational expectations for them and answer any further questions you may have.  Finally, your child will be invited in for an hour long 'Play and Learn' session with a few of our primary teachers as well as a few other students who will be enrolling for the following school year.  The process is designed so that you can have as much information as possible, your child can get a little more comfortable with the school, and everyone feels like this is the right fit.

As enrollment is done on a first come first served basis, we do recommend contacting the Admissions Department to set up a tour as soon as possible. Junior Kindergarten Tuition information can be found here.
