As the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Education Officer for the 7th largest school district in BC, Mrs. Beaumont reported to The Board of School Trustees, a publicly elected board of seven trustees representing the City and Township of Langley. The district has over 19,000 students, approximately 2,200 employees and an annual operating budget of $160M. The Langley School District offers a diversity of choice in programs including a Fine Arts School, International Baccalaureate, Fundamental Schools, French Immersion, Distributed Learning, Sports Academies and Adult Education.
Mrs. Beaumont is most recently a private consultant providing both paid and voluntary service in the public and the not-for-profit sectors. In her spare time, she sits on the Board of Green Thumb Theatre in Vancouver, is a Community Leader for The Minerva Foundation and serves on advisory committees for the Vancouver Foundation and the Vancouver Board of Trade. Urban Academy is fortunate to have Mrs. Beaumont as our Head of School and we are excited to see her lead the staff team in achieving the mission and vision of the school.

She brings her talents and skills to the busy Urban Academy administration office. Her strengths in multitasking and customer service ensure that families and the rest of the staff are well supported.
Her hobbies include outdoor activities, reading and photography, as well as Hula dance competitions. Mrs. McNamara has a love for the students that they have come to know well and appreciate for her. We're fortunate to have Mrs. McNamara leading the administration team at UA.
Ms. Jeni McBride

Ms. McBride has been with Urban Academy since 2011 and supports the Uptown team with her expertise in administration and technology. The friendly face that answers the door and the helpful person on the end of the phone line at the Uptown Campus, Ms. McBride is always ready with a smile and to help out.
Her organizational skills also serve the school well in that Ms. McBride oversees much of the school purchasing as well as the maintenance and servicing on our IT equipment. Always eager to jump in and help out, we appreciate her multitasking ability in a busy environment. She always has time to help out a student with a band aid, or fix a computer issue and her passion for students is obvious.
In her spare time, Ms. McBride takes care of her two dogs, one of whom (Cooper) makes the occasional appearance at Urban Academy throughout the summer.
